The Heart of the Rhythm
Messy. Wild. Beautiful.
I didn’t come to drumming as a musician.
I came as someone searching for a way home — back to myself.
For much of my life, I experienced a persistent disconnection: from my own body, from my unique expression, and from community. The noise of the modern world made it easy to stay in my head and out of my body.
I felt the gap between who I existed as, and who I was becoming.
When I discovered somatic movement and the communal drum circles, something shifted. Rhythm bypassed the overthinking mind and spoke directly to the nervous system. In the circle, I found a language for things I couldn’t articulate — a sense of belonging that didn’t require a performance.
The drum became a mirror for my own aliveness. Messy. Wild. Beautiful.
That experience is what I wake up every morning to offer communities and leaders. I am motivated by creating the possibility for others to be seen, heard, and connected.
Embodied Rhythms exists because healing isn't linear — sometimes it looks like Being in circle, picking up a drum, and letting your body remember what it already knows.
The Story Behind Embodied Rhythms
Embodied Rhythms emerged from the wild and mystical forests of the Pacific Northwest, born from a desire to share the profound healing I found within the earth's natural pulse. What started as small, intimate drum circles quickly revealed a universal truth: we are all searching for a way back to our center.
I witnessed a deep hunger for grounding—a collective need to unplug from the modern noise and reconnect with something ancient. Rhythm became the bridge. In every circle, I watched as people arrived with hesitation and left with a renewed sense of vitality.
From high-stakes corporate teams to individuals moving through grief and burnout, the drum circle offers a rare space where the busy mind finally quiets. Here, performance is set aside, allowing the body’s innate wisdom to take the lead in a practice of pure presence.
Whether facilitating community circles, organizational workshops, or immersive nature retreats, my mission never wavers: helping every participant return to themselves. This work is about remembering that rhythm is not just music; it is a fundamental practice of being here.
When we drum together, we cultivate a unique belonging. As a women-owned business, my vision is to continue bringing these soulful experiences to retreat centers and communities nationwide, helping every body remember its own natural, vibrant pulse.
